My favorite activity these days is coaching and advising ecopreneurs, investors, and green leaders on how to shorten the path to their objectives.
Having founded several green businesses and non-profits over the past 25 years, I’ve accumulated a ton of experience on starting, growing, and capitalizing green enterprises, and producing results via a broad assortment of strategies and leadership paradigms.
Now, I’m offering my coaching and advice for free, “Dear Abbey” style, via this blog. To get the ball rolling, I invite you to submit your questions or topics to me via email.
Note: I’m now a columnist for GreenOptions.com, a leading green blog network. This article is reprinted by permission from them.
All searching for Public Profiles can now be done from one simple page: http://ecosector.com/search
Previously, “keyword” searching was on one search form and “map” searches were on another. Now, with all on one page, finding what you’re looking for is a lot easier!
This recent phase of improving the Public Profile display is now complete with the addition of your own blog snippet listing inside your Public Profile (see example…)
Here’s a list of all features currently available in your Public Profile:
Let me know what I can do next to make the EcoSector Portal useful to you…
You can now add a logo and photos to your Public Profile (see example). Pictures can be added when you sign up, or when you edit your Public Profile. Thanks to John Ivanko & Lisa Kivirist of Inn Serendipity for suggesting this upgrade…
I just completed a big overhaul of the EcoSector Portal. The main site and the blog are integrated into one colorful theme. You can now view a selection of live data on the home page.
A new YouTube window on the home page lets you watch a “playlist” of videos produced by Portal members.
I’d love to hear your comments on the changes…
Now you can subscribe to EcoBlog via email subscription or RSS feed. It’s easy! Just see the sidebar at the EcoSector blog homepage.
Profiles are much easier to enter, edit, and view.
Now, when you add or edit a Public Profile, you can instantly see how it looks to other users. Profile Editing is found under the “My Accounts” tab at the Portal.
It’s easy add a YouTube video to your profile from the Profile editing page, too. Here’s an example of a recently posted YouTube powered profile.
Now you can easily add Public Profiles a personal “My Favorites” list. I think it’s a cool. Here’s how it works:
The new Green Events Calendar and Help Wanted Listings feature at the EcoSector Portal lets you track green events locally, regionally, nationally, or even globally if you like. You can also use it to post or find an eco-minded job, internship, or volunteer opportunity.
