He has founded several businesses and non-profit organizations in the green sector and several sideline businesses, too. Here are some highlights:
- 1983 - Founded an energy and water conservation company in St. Louis, Missouri helping businesses and institutions save millions on their utility bills.
- 1990 - Co-Founded a environmental group in Washington D.C. and helped grow it from scratch into a highly effective national organization.
